Wondering what to do for Earth Hour?

Earth hour of this year is Mar. 28, from 8:30 to 9:30. I thanked Thomas Edison silently million times for his invention of light bulbs whenever a power outage kept me in the dark; how can human beings live without electricity? We can't now; however, we might have to one day if we keep using energy the way we use them now.
Scientists confirm that over-usage and depletion of fuels and oils are exhausting the global energy resources, as well as increasing greenhouse effect, causing landscapes and ecosystems unbalanced. Do you love polar bears? They are losing their homes because of our use of energy.
Electricity is one of the main causes of energy use. Studies show that, of the total energy consumed in America, about 39% is to generate electricity. Electricity consumption is an important portion of a consumer's environmental footprint. All forms of electricity generation have some level of environmental impact. Most of the electricity in the United States is generated from fossil fuels, such as coal, natural gas, and oil.
By joining the Earth Hour we are contributing to saving landscapes, to reducing greenhouse effect, to saving polar bears, as well as to saving energies for our following generations.
