Malcolm Turnbull announces Australia has ratified Paris climate change agreement – video

The prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull, announces that Australia has ratified the Paris climate agreement at a press conference in Canberra alongside the foreign affairs minister, Julie Bishop, and the environment and energy minister, Josh Frydenberg. Turnbull describes the agreement as ‘a watershed’ that has ‘galvanised the international community’. He says Australia is ‘playing our part with ambitious targets’ and is ‘on track to meet and indeed beat our 2020 targets’
